Batwa makeup pouch

Each batwa (makeup pouch) is hand-crafted by women in the Himalayan Mountain region of Pakistan. Approximately 100 women help in crafting the pouches -- from weaving of the cloth, hand-embroidery, and stitching.

A percentage of every batwa sale supports these women through the Hunar Foundation and The Citizen Foundation.

Saltability is honored to help support these foundations’ work to empower women in Pakistan, fight against child labor, and support education in the region.
