LAKE OZARK, MISSOURI — Saltability, a spa industry business that provides quality Himalayan salt stone treatments and products for resort, day, medical and destination spas, was recently recognized at the International Spa Association 2016 Conference in Las Vegas as a 2016 ISPA Innovate Award winner. Saltability’s Himalayan salt stone warmers won in the products category for their therapeutic benefits and positive environmental impact.
“I created Saltability in order to create a better hot stone massage — one with a more positive environmental impact and more therapeutic benefits than traditional stone massage — and I am honored to see our product receive this recognition as one of the spa industry’s most innovative products,” says Ann Brown, Saltability founder and CEO.
The ISPA Innovate Awards are given annually to ISPA members to recognize and celebrate spa industry innovations. Saltability’s eco-friendly Himalayan salt stone warmers feature LED technology, making them longer lasting (an estimated 20,000 hours) and more energy efficient (estimated 80 to 90 percent energy efficiency) than traditional warmers. They also require less power, using just 75 watts compared to 1,500-watt traditional roasters. An easy-to-use seven-day timer for preheating and automatic shut-off also conserves power.
“I think, more and more, the spa industry recognizes the need for products and services that are beneficial to both the clients and the environment,” Brown says. “Our warmers are not only delivering numerous therapeutic benefits with every treatment, but they’re also keeping environmental responsibility at the forefront.”
Created when the primal sea, where scientists and scholars believe all life originated, was dried up by energy from the sun, Saltability’s hand-carved, organic salt stones are mined from the Himalayan Mountains through socially, environmentally responsible manufacturing. Because of their connection to Pakistan and the surrounding area, Saltability often partners with other organizations that promote equality through programs and services and make a real difference in and around the region.
