With more than 25 years of experience in nearly every aspect of the resort spa business, Ann Brown is an industry veteran whose expertise extends from licensed cosmetologist, esthetician, nail technician and massage therapist to accomplished spa director and business manager. In 2014, she founded Saltability to answer the need for a better treatment in the spa industry and conceived a line of Himalayan salt products that benefit clients as well as their therapists. By keeping products and services chemical free and eco-friendly, Saltability offers multiple therapeutic benefits in a single treatment, helping client and practitioner alike. Today, Saltability is a spa industry partner that provides quality Himalayan salt stone treatments and products for resort, day, medical and destination spas.

Serving three years on the board of directors for the International Spa Association and five years on the education committee for the ISPA organization, Brown is a founding member of the American Spa Therapy Education and Certification Council, which educates some of the country’s top spas. She has been a World Spa & Wellness Awards judge since 2010, and she serves as vice chair of the Global Wellness Salt & Halotherapy Initiative. In addition, she is involved in the Global Wellness Institute Mentorship Program, and she contributed to the development of ISPA’s Hiring and Training Guide and helped co-author two textbooks used for spa management degrees at major universities. She has presented on spa management and modalities at ISPA’s annual conference, the American Massage Therapy Association conference, IECSC and more and has served her community as a board member of several nonprofits.

Brown lives in Boca Raton, Florida, where she is active in several local organizations, including Brain Bowl, Rotary International, the YMCA, Habitat for Humanity and the Alzheimer’s Association. The Downtown Boca Raton Rotary Club named her Rookie Rotarian of the Year in 2018, and she was nominated for Junior League’s Woman Volunteer of the Year. In addition to serving as the 2018 Boca Walk to End Alzheimer’s committee chairperson, she chaired the Gumbo Limbo 10K in 2019 and 2020.

 A former Jersey-boy, Scott brings to Saltability over six years of warehouse management and e-commerce experience.He has a proven track record of success with liquidation, wholesale and retail product distribution directed over multiple sales channels. In his spare time, Scott is passionate about Everglades wildlife conservation and is an avid fisherman. Scott's love for Saltability and the massage industry is directly reflected in his exceptional customer service and knowledge of Himalayan salt.

 

 

Rachel Williams, Account Manager

Rachel comes to Saltability with more 10 years of beauty, spa, and wellness experience, along with prior experience in the Himalayan salt field. She started her career as a spa manager at a local spa. She then worked her way up in a Fortune 5000 cosmetic company from customer service representative to tradeshow & marketing manager to the director of customer service & account management. Rachel has a true passion for the spa and wellness industry, and she strives to build long lasting relationships while providing the best customer experience. She is active with the Alzheimer’s Association and Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation, two organizations near and dear to her heart. Rachel met Ann Brown through a Boca Walk to End Alzheimer’s charity events. The two immediately clicked and the rest is history.

With 27 years of experience in the spa industry, as a massage therapist, skin care specialist, educator, and entrepreneur, Christine Clinton brings expertise in Therapeutic Massage, Oncology Massage, Oncology Skincare, Hot Stone Therapy, Reflexology, Lymphatic Drainage, Reiki, Aromatherapy, Maternity and Infant Massage, and Energy Medicine to the Saltability team as an educator and account executive. Holding a passion for sharing the health benefits of Himalayan salt with the wellness community, Christine worked with Saltability founder and CEO Ann Brown to develop a protocol for using Himalayan salt massage therapy for cancer patients.

Chair of the Wellness for Children initiative for the Global Wellness Institute, Christine is founder and president of International Salon and Spa Services and she was an international examiner for ITEC in the USA for over ten years. In addition, she developed the Christine Clinton Cancer Care Program and has conducted training seminars at numerous spas throughout Ireland, the United States and the Caribbean.

After 20 years in the spa industry Samantha established Spa Advocates, a bespoke consulting company that assists with the development of spas and skincare brands in Asia and Africa. With an indisputable passion for product, their current portfolio includes a selection of handpicked brands: Carol Joy London, Ling New York, Margaret Dabbs London, Knesko, Omorovicza, Saltability and Subtle Energies.

Previously, Sam set up the Asia regional office for London-based Aromatherapy Associates. Within 5 years the brand had partnered with more than 80 acclaimed hotel properties across Asia and had been acknowledged as the Best Spa Product (AsiaSpa) and Most Popular Spa Product Supplier (SpaChina). Her inherent understanding of the needs of their business partners can be accredited to her previous operational experience where she opened and managed a number of hotel spas including the Spa at the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, ISPA at InterContinental Hong Kong and Mandara Spa onboard Silversea Cruises.

  

Lorenz Ripa, Himalayan Salt Stone Massage Trainer

A former professional ballet dancer turned massage therapist, Lorenz shares not only education for Saltability's Himalayan Salt Stone Massage with fellow massage therapists -- he also shares his passion for healing techniques and his continuous desire to expand his knowledge of the body and movement. In addition to his work with Saltability, Lorenz is the lead licensed massage therapist at âme Spa at Turnberry Isle Miami, recognized by Forbes as 4-star spa.
