World Spa & Wellness Awards 2021 Judge Ann Brown

Saltability CEO Ann Brown Serves as Judge for 2021 World Spa & Wellness Awards

BOCA RATON —Ann Brown, founder and CEO of Boca Raton-based Saltability, was selected as a judge for the 2021 World Spa & Wellness Awards. Organized by UK-based Professional Beauty group, the World Spa & Wellness Awards is one of the industry’s leading honors, recognizing and rewarding the work that spas do around the globe, honoring hotel and resort spas in all regions and acknowledging those who continue to deliver excellence even in the current ever-changing coronavirus climate.

Spas compete in nine categories in the World Spa & Wellness Awards:
• Spa of the Year – Asia & Australasia
• Spa of the Year – Eastern Europe
• Spa of the Year – Middle East & Africa
• Spa of the Year – North & South America
• Spa of the Year – Western Europe & Scandinavia
• Spa Leader of the Year
• Sustainable Spa of the Year
• Team of the Year
• Worldwide Health & Wellness Destination.

This year marks the ninth year Brown has served as a judge for the awards. With experience in nearly every aspect of the spa industry, she holds expertise as a spa director and business manager, in addition to licensed cosmetologist, esthetician, nail technician and massage therapist. Brown’s experience also includes four years on the board of directors for the International Spa Association (ISPA) and six years on the ISPA education committee.

In 2014, Brown founded Saltability to answer the need for a better treatment in the spa industry and conceived a line of Himalayan salt products that offers multiple therapeutic benefits to both clients and therapists. Today, Saltability is the spa industry’s leading provider of quality Himalayan salt stone treatments and products for top resort, day, medical and destination spas worldwide.

Saltability has received ISPA Innovative Awards in 2016, 2017 and 2019. In 2016, the company was honored for its Himalayan Salt Stone Massage, an eco-friendly innovation that features no water, no chemicals and low energy usage compared to turkey roaster-type warmers traditionally used with basalt stone massage.

Professional Beauty group has organized spa and beauty industry awards for the past 21 years and has an in-depth knowledge of the field, the World Spa & Wellness Awards incorporates a thorough and independent judging process in which all spas are assessed by experienced industry professionals.

Previous winners include leading international spas such as Miraval Life in Balance Spa at Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa, USA, Dior Institut at Hotel Plaza Athénée, France, and The Spa at The Oyster Box, South Africa.
