Saltability is proud to be a sponsor for the 2019 Gumbo Limbo 10K, a non-competitive race to benefit the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, which aims to increase awareness of coastal and marine ecosystems through research, education, preservation and conservation.
As a business that uses socially and environmentally responsible manufacturing, Saltability understands the importance of a healthy ecosystem, and recognizes this as a tremendous way to make a local difference by protecting the delicate beauty and balance of Boca Raton’s beaches.
In addition to sponsorship, Saltability founder and CEO Ann Brown has joined the Gumbo Limbo 10K planning committee to help the committee reach their goal of $40,000 – double the amount raised last year!
“After meeting Bronwen [Gumbo Limbo board member and event chair] at the Junior League of Boca Raton’s Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon last fall, I was so impressed with her work for Gumbo Limbo,” Ann said. “I am excited to help raise the bar for Gumbo Limbo and support our local sea turtle conservation and rehabilitation efforts.”
The race will be held on Sunday, April 14 beginning at 7:15 a.m. at the Spanish River Park. Pre-registered participants will be given a t-shirt and race finishers will be awarded metals.
Runners are encouraged register online at www.gumbolimbo.org/gumbolimbo10k and businesses can still volunteer to help protect local beaches and sea turtles by becoming a sponsor by emailing Gumbo Limbo Board Member and Event Chair Bronwen de Villiers at firstname.lastname@example.org.
